I've trying to program my POIs from the Garmin Nuvi into the Ford Nav System, but I found it impossible. If the location is not already in the Nav system it won't let you program it in as a POI. On the Garmin I can set up a POI in Mapsource and transfer it to the Nuvi. Is there a way to get around the systems auto setting function by setting the Lon/Lat.?

You can take it out, sent it to me, I will swap it out for my Non-Nav deck, and then send that to you, problem solved!

J/K, but I do not have Nav, no help, sorry.

For some reason the nav. systems which come in vehicles are not as good as Garmin.
I have the same issues in my F250 and my wife's Toyota Highlander. Garmin needs to get into these vehicles. Even the maps which come with the vehicles are not updated.

Yes, the maps are outdated, the software that runs the system is slow and cumbersome to use. The Sync on my non-nav 6.4 was even friendlier. On the 6.4 when you asked for help, it gave you audible options. When you ask for help on the 6.7 nav, it gives you a menu to look at, and the only choices are the ones on the screen - some of them are so small that there is no safe way to read them if you are moving. I have managed to program addresses and POIs, but it was a lengthy process and in some cases I had to settle for a nearby address. The nav voice instructions sometimes come in after you pass the turn. However, with a little work, Ford could make it a better workable system.

Wow, I have Nav in my Porsches & Audi's - the Nav in my f-350 & Lincoln MKZ are the best of the group....

I'm finally getting the hang of it. I found that the best way to include an address is to first see if the map has a built in POI - just type in the name of the location, if not then go the address route and put in the full address and name information. You can select whether the place can be called by a voice command or just look for it on the screen. Another issue was using the help command - remember if you choose favorite, there is a limit of how many you can have. The help command does not give you any voice choices ( like sync in the non-nav), instead it gives the choices on the screen - some are to small to read while you are driving - but the choices on the screen are the only ones that you can choose, anything else will not work. I don't like the touch method for pointing to a location on the screen (like marking the place that you are currently located) since it is rather erratic and difficult to point to the actual location you want to mark. Also, I wish it had a place for custom POIs, like rest areas and truck stops (with a 26 gallon diesel tank you won't go far when towing).
