I think it is from the mini max trying to trick the computer into having max fuel rail pressure all the time. I’m trying to get a different SCT tune on mine to see if that can make it happy. But my pickup is still parked in the shop unusable right now.
Anyone have any luck solving their problems? I have a 15 6.7 I’ve spent entirely to much money on at the Ford dealership and it still has embarrassing low power. It’s had all the weight reduction performed. Sct livewire with custom tunes. Ford replaced more parts than I can list on here. P228E is what it went to the dealership for. The code is still present along with a new one when I got it back from Ford. P2455. I’m lost. My first diesel truck and potentially my last if it continues to $100 me to death. I’m over $5k in repairs and have a $50k yard ornament that’s worthless and not paid for. Any advice. Thanks. Shane.

No luck yet. Mechanic traced every wire and sensor. All checked ok. All have been replaced by ford. Lift pump pressure is low. Psi is High 40’s to Low 50s. Fass system is on the way. Hope to have it installed within the next 2 weeks. I’ll update.
Anyone get this sorted yet? I have my truck at the dealer for the 3rd time with this exact issue. it hard starts, throws codes, stalls when I put it in gear, get it to drive down the road and all codes clear (except the permanent codes: High pressure fuel rail and so on) Over $3k dumped in the last 4 months trying to sort this out. My truck is all stock (as far as I know) and hasn't been deleted. Dealer called today and said the truck is running fine and they can't get it to act up.... Any help would be wonderful

I think I may have a solution for everyone... but not 100% sure yet.

2013' 6.7 with weight reduction. Chaos Tow Tune & GTX Tuner. Entire fuel system was replaced 4 years, 96k miles ago. Been having this issue on and off for the last year where the truck would randomly go into "Reduced power mode" and throw PO193, but would reset after a couple key cycles. Recently, the truck has been randomly dying while pulling up to a stop light, and a couple times on the interstate. Almost every time this happened, truck was towing a 6k lb enclosed trailer - never happened with my larger trailers.

Second issue the truck has had over the last year is the A/C will randomly not cool, but usually comes back in 10-20 minutes.

On Friday, I noticed that the A/C stopped blowing cold. Didn't think much of it as it was a cool day, but after 115 miles still was warm. Later that night on the way home, I got a PO193 along with Reduced Power. About 5 miles later, the A/C compressor clutch exploded. Truck is currently waiting on parts to arrive so the compressor can be swapped (along with whatever else it took out).

So, given that the FTP and the A/C Pressure sensor share the same leg, I'm wondering if this is some how related. IE Compressor locks up, spikes the pressure and sets off the PO193, even though fuel pressure is fine.

Honestly sounds like a filter/ lift pump getting air issue. Either the housing isn’t properly tightened or a line is getting air somewhere. It’s just not enough to leak !! I’ve seen that because of the driver side fuel rail having that divider inside of it and it will not keep enough pressure on both the fwd and aft sides of the splitter (for lack of better terms) there is a video online of a guy who uses a long 3/8 drive extension to push that out of the end of the fuel rail and never had another issue. Good luck.
