Hello Everyone, This is my 1st post and I am NOT a mechanic but do have the capacity to learn. I have a 2012 4x4 6.7, 155k miles, EGR replaced last year, good maintenance on fuel and oil. The following is explained the best way I can.
Truck begin showing symptoms of a miss. Intermittently sometimes worse than other times. Took it to a Ford repair shop, we are limited on adequate diesel repair shops in my area. I had gotten a random P0206 code by just checking my code reader, and explained it to the dealership when we took it in. THEIR software and "experts" said they couldn't get a #6 injector error code but did on #7. Silly and naive me, trusted their findings over mine and #7 was replaced. No improvement, Then they said #6 was bad due to #2 overcompensating and changed #6 and 2 new fuel filters. $2500 in repairs and NO CHANGE OR IMPROVEMENT. PCM was allegedly tested and showed good. Ford experts suggested it was a valve train issue. I was furious at their approach of "throw parts at it" and disappointed in their services so I brought her home.
Let me add, the entire time this truck has run poorly, there have been no CEL, excess smoke, and sometimes she runs and sounds absolutely amazing. What I do have is intermittent missing, an occasional "freeze" of rpms at about 2k, terrible mph, rough idle, and then it seems the truck "fixes" itself and it sounds perfect, shifts great, jumps to 3000rpm and 85 mph with no issues and then10 minutes or 4 hours later, sounds like garbage again. This mystery machine is giving me the blues and I need a direction to look in.

You may need to find a different dealer. I have a dealer in my town but they suck. I drive 30 miles to a better ndealer and you may have to do the same. I just thought of something. There is a connector beside the E brake peddle and it sometimes causes all sorts of issues. I would unplug it and being careful not to bend the pins connect it back up again. Also how old are your batteries? If they are 4 years old I would replace them because it seems to be a waste of time to have them tested. These trucks need great batteries not just good ones. If they leak then they are junk anyway even if they still start the truck. it does sound like electrical to me and batteries is where I would start then that connector.

Thanks for the info and the batteries are less than a year old.
