What would cause 2012 Ford F-450 65000 mile, to lose/burn 5 qt. of oil in 1653 miles. Dealer claims went they drain the oil in engine it only had only 8 qt. of oil. They say that what cause engine to fail. I had no low oil presure or light come on. Went engine went down it red line and wrench light came on. Was able to restart and move truck off interstate, about 3.5 miles to a parking lot. I checked oil since last oil changed at 528, and 563 miles and it was ok. I pull a 5th trailer and it routine for me to check oil before starting out on the road. Been rv'ing for 36 years and been full time for 5 years, checking oil is as routine as changing underwear.
