Hello,
New forum member here.
Hopefully this is the correct place to pose my issue.

I have a 2015 F350 Dually, CC with approximately 185,000 miles.
I have owned this since November of 2020 when it had approximately 150,000 miles on it. Each winter I experience DEF related issues. All parts of the DEF system have been replaced, the pump has now been replaced four times. The injector was replaced last winter. The heater was replaced twice, last winter I think was the last time.
About a month ago I got a message 500 miles until DEF is empty. Seemed about right, as I typically fill when I do the oil change, which it was time for. I don't drive too much, and before I got to the oil change, message showed up speed limited to 50 mph in 50 miles. I don't remember the exact error message, but i was under the impression due to low def. I did the oil change, and fuel filter change, and filled the def tank. The tank only took one 2.5 gal jug of def. Started a second jug and it overflowed immediately.
The message went away, but then suddenly came back within an hour of use. Then without warning it stated speed limited to 50 mph. Upon further investigation, the wiring harness on the def pump had corroded connections, and a broken wire. We replaced the wiring harness. Ran codes and showing Pending Trouble Code of P204C, Permanent Trouble Codes of P208C, P20A2, P20A0, and P24A0. Attempted to run a regen with a code tool, and it indicated it was not necessary.
We replaced the pump, and no change. Upon further investigation, the large plug going to the pump had several corroded and damaged wires. A new plug end was installed. This definitely helped as the truck was put into the regen mode, and it did a regen, with significant black smoke initially, then cleared up. Regen took about 45 minutes. Attempted to clear codes, and we now have a confirmed trouble code of P204C a Pending Code of P204C, and two Permanent codes of P24A0, and P204C. I still have the speed limited to 50 mph. I can clear the Confirmed and Pending Trouble Codes, but they just return on restart. Do these codes take drive cycles to remove? I don't want to take the truck out as I don't want to go into full limp mode on the highway someplace.

I think the order of how things occurred is correct, hopefully.

Suggestions on next steps? Any other advice?

The P204C code indicates a problem with the DEF pressure sensor, or wiring. The sensor is in the pump assembly which you have replaced. Finding the connector problem was a good find however my best advice is to test the relevant circuits from the PCM to the pump including the power and ground circuits. An ohm meter is fine, load testing is better. Also, when testing the circuits perform a wiggle test my moving the harness aound while monitoring your test meter or load test bulb to identify any intermittent problems. Pay attention to the harness where it runs along the right frame rail and crosses over the top and goes under the rear of the cab. I have seen instances where the cab mounts have degraded causing the cab to crush and chafe the harness. Just thought that was worth mentioning.
