I attached the 2017 Customer Access Wiring Guide bulletin. Scroll through to find the Upfitter Switches - this will be helpful if you do not have an accurate wiring diagram.

Thanks, but I watched this video before I began. I thought it looked pretty simple so I tried. I had power out to switch #1 momentarily and then nothing. Is there a fuse that may have blown? I'm not a mechanic, but understand wiring pretty well usually. Thanks BR

The file attached has the wiring and fuse and relay information. Save the file and print it out so you have it. However, it sounds like you shorted the circuit to ground or overloaded the circuit - it's a 25 amp fuse so I imagine it was possibly a short while you were working. The relay box is actually the one pictured on the Youtube video above. For switch #1 it's fuse #10 - 25 Amp. The fuses are unique, and you will likely need to visit the dealer to get one or search the Internet - you will save money doing so.For now you can borrow a fuse from one of the unused upfitter switches.
Thanks. I will give it another go. BR
Not sure about the newer trucks. The '08 truck has the up fitter switches notated in the owners manual along with the wire color codes and amp rating for each switch. The 4 wires protrude out of the harness by the E brake in the cab and they have heat shrink on their ends. There is also another set of 4 wires that are in the harness which go thru the fire wall in which you would connect to the wires from the up fitter switches at the E brake location to transfer power to an outside of cab function.
