On my 2000 F-250 I had 35x12.50 with a leveling kit. No rubbing unless I REALLY had the suspension articulating. The backspacing of the wheels would also play a factor in whether the tires would rub on the front springs or not. I don't remember what BS the 16.5x9.75 Weld Typhoons had that were on my old truck.
