I noticed my F-250 has 3 leaf springs in the frontend and I was wondering if anyone else has the same thing??....I have looked at f-350s and they all have two springs, my dads 96, and both of my brother's 99 & 01 f-250s have two springs. Was this a option in 97 or did someone add one? They all look stock so I dont think anyone added a spring

It sounds like a previous owner put a add a leaf in to level it out.

My '94 has three as well. I think there was a TSB a while back about sagging front ends, and that was Ford's fix.

I replaced mine with a Standens spring full three leaf (400lbs per side greater capacity than the oe crap)... if the third one is short it is an add-a-leaf.
