3" Sky RSK Problem

I finished up my 3" Sky RSK installation today.

For now, I put on some OBS F250 springs, and the code is:

0W 4 02
F5TA YA

I also put on some 4" F350 block, in the rear.

But I am not happy with the outcome so far. Need suggestions!

Sorry, forgot to add that point. Yes, I am unhappy because of the rear sits lower than the front. I thought, or hoped, the 4" rear blocks would do the trick.

I guess I was wrong.

Are these Sky shakles for the rear worthwhile?

Wait a minute........

Since I am using OBS springs...

Stock F350 = Military wrap in the rear (fixed bracket - shackle in the front)

With the RSK, the fixed position is in the front. Does that mean I should have the military wrap in the front?

Yes, that would be best, but you can't do it with the OBS springs because they
are not centered. If you switch to SD springs you would probably want to have the wrap in the front (fixed) since that side of the spring is a bit shorter and you wouldn't have to move the RSK spring hanger as far forward.

It is designed such that if the mainleaf breaks, the secondary leaf will keep the spring pack attached to the vehicle to help minimize damage and to allow you to limp home. It should always go to the front.

Pictures of the front springs..are they stock or ???
Install B or F codes in the rear should rais the rear 1'

I guess I'm just curious how everyone else can do their RSK and make theor truck sit level without reading about any major mods to the rear.:boohoo:

Anyway Cary,

1. The pictre of the rear springs I posted in the first post. Those are my factory springs. I swapped out my 2" blocks, for the 4" blocks. And for the heck of it, I added the top block and overload springs, from my donor vehicle. By the looks of it, I am not sure if that top overload spring is going the right direction. Been awhile since I took them off.

2. Since the military wrap is in the rear right now, should I disassemble everything to put it in the front?

3. B or F code rear SD springs add 1". Is that using my 4" block, or going back to the 2"? And do you know of any good sources for them?

Thanks,
Rich:cheers:

Cary I'm glad you are around you always have answers when it comes to spings.

Could he just go to a superduty lift spring pack in the rear and get a better ride and lose the blocks? and that would also help with axle wrap correct?

don't use teh rear shackle flip, I have a set and I really don't like them, removed all but 2" blocks however I can not get the carrier bearing right so it shakes on take off.
I am looking for rear lift springs so I can go back to the way it was before

Not trying to hijack the thread but what is the difference between the SD B or F code rear springs?

thanks

If I am not mistaken, they provide 1" of extra lift over factory/regular springs.

This is how I will be lifting the rear of my F250 when I swap my 60 in, along with a 4" block, if its not level enough, ill bump to a 5.5" block.
