I know the rave is to run bigger wheels these days, but I just love the look of a smaller chrome wheel on a huge fat tire. (Not the beer...)

So, I have been thinking about going higher in lift (4-6 inches on top of my 4.5" DR kit) and these are the tires I think I want to run. Has anyone tried these tires yet?

the smaller the wheel the musher the ride with big tires, I would have rather had 20 wheels with 38"

Stick with the smaller wheels 18" tops. It looks better.

I hope the 4x4 Dubz trend dies someday lol.

I suppose I would need to re-gear for these as well. I am still running the stock 3.73's.

You don't have to regear but you sure would enjoy your truck a whole lot more if you did. Especially if you tow anything.

Last year I put 36" tires on my truck and within 2k miles I took em back off because I hated the way the truck drove. There was no way I could tow my trailer with what it did to the gearing.
Keep in mind though my truck is a 6spd.

I have that exact tire and it has been great. I agree with the wheel size. I would consider an 18", but no more. 20s and up belong on an Escalade or something.

I've had them on my truck for a year and a half, and about 35,000 miles. They are getting thin, but 35K is great mileage for an MT!! They are very quiet for an MT, and stay in balance well too.

I will most definitely replace them with another set of Toyos.

I never did update my pics after replacing the Interco STSs, but I will when I get new Toyos.
