Well, Sid roped his brother and his Dad into helping, along with several friends to cook the CrawDads. Dad brought a huge Bar-B-Que trailer, along with lots of firewood and brisket to cook and feed over 100 folks. Sid bought a brand new "crawdad cooker" [a.k.a., turkey fryer] just for us. They worked their buns off all day Saturday, and into the night. And that's just Saturday. I went back fairly early on Sunday Morning to help clean up - but it was all done already. The MacAllisters and friends had worked until the wee hours of the morning to clean up that mess.
And that doesen't include the pre-planning and site selection and all that sort of stuff. We owe Sid and family a huge pat on the back!
So if you wanna plan one, good for you! But realize it one helluva lot of work for several folks. Especially for the idiot that volunteers to be the head honcho.
Thanx a lot, Sid and the MacAllister bunch!
