Having installed a 4" system on a '97, I'm familiar with making extra space for the downpipe(bending/cutting the seam or bending the firewall) Any special "space making" work or other concerns with the SuperDuty and the 4" exhaust?

Also, any comments on vendors with well-fitting or not-so-well fitting systems?

No need to modfiy on the 99-up with a 4". Fit maybe a bit tight, just make sure you align before you tighten the clamps.

I have installed Summit, JEG's, MBRP, and Magna Flow, and none had any issues.

I work with MBRP, Magnaflow, & EXPANDIT and have had no fitment issue with any of the 4" exhausts.
The downpipe fits without any issues.

i have the summit kit no problems with install put it on it 2 hours it comes with clamps i welled it just to be safe d/p went in with no problems sounds good to not loud but deep

Get a "known" system that fits and you'll be OK! Call us we have been selling 4 inch systems forever and will be glad to help you with any questions etc.

No modifications needed on the Super Duty to get he 4" installed. As for fit sound and performance, the Banks Monster exhaust is one of hte best. I have it on my truck and really like it.
