My 2003 F350 diesel 6.0 liter gives me a shimmy when it goes into 4th gear (right at 45-50 mph). When the engine is cold it feels like either the engine or the transmission is causing a bucking/jerking sensation at the low end of the 4th gear. When I step down harder on the throttle, the turbo kicks in and all is fine.
Once the engine is warm the shimmy is less noticeable, but still present.
Thank you for the reply Mark. Would you say that the reason it wouldn't be doing it until 4th gear is that there isn't sufficient load on the motor to make the miss apparent in the lower gears?
