can you convert a 2x4? i have wire for the hubs as well as the wire for the switch. can you bolt a transfercase up to a tranny on a 2wd? any help here guys?

i would say "sure you could" but in the same breath i'd also say "trade your truck in and get a 4x4. it'd be cheaper"

it is costly to do. I remember their was a guy that did it on a snow plow website. I think his username was pickeringsnow or something like that. I dont remember the site though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/phoney.gif I know some one here knows who I am talking about as this is where I found out about him.

YEP,, trannys are the same, just remove the tail shaft, and put the TC there,,, Get yer front axle,, ect.. ANYTHING is possible of course. BUT like mentioned above,, cheaper to trade it!
