Hello i need some help, my 4 wheel drive quit working on my 2001 f350, i have warn lockouts, when i turn the switch the 4x4 light comes on and i here the thump but its not in 4x4, the hubs are locked and the axles are turning. Any ideas?

I am assuming that '01 has a similar engagement system as the later models so check for a vacuum leak. On my '05 my ventilation would only blow to defrost no matter what I selected and it was due to a vacuum leak on hose to the hub.

they are warn manual lockouts right, jack each side up and lock hub and spin tire to make sure hubs are locking. other wise the transfer case shift motor prolly stopped working.
