06 f250 6.0 liter ESOF
4x4 was working great about 3 weeks ago when we had all the ice & snow no problems at all. I turned off the 4x4 switch on the dash and did not use 4x4 again until friday 3/13/09 when I went to get my boat out of storage and got stuck in the soft wet grass. I turn on the switch and would not engage, so I got out of the truck and turned the hubs manually and still no 4x4. I checked all the fuses. I dont know what else to check

I would check the switch for power and function, then the shift motor on the transfer case.

Try putting truck in nuetral, foot on brake, switch to 4x4. That is the only way I can get into 4low.
