Long day yesterday....dyno, then went to a test n tune sled pull to test out the new clutch.
A few week ago, Jody was out and we beat the sh!t out of it on the dyno, and blew the head gaskets (fire rings). So, we knew it was hurt, but ran it anyway.
On the dyno, it was a Mustang single eddy current, 18k resistance, but couldn't load it. The run was from 2300-3500. They said something about not getting a good reading (spun too fast?) so 2400 was all I had and only 70 PSI. Oh well. The 5 gallon catch can in the bed filled with coolant-nice job on that one VAB.

509?
Then we headed to the sled pull to test the clutch, knowing the motor has to come out. Make sure when you swap from an auto to 6 speed, you wire in the neutral safety switch so you can use 4 lo.... Only got one hook in 4 HI 1st, then the motor wouldn't crank again-its hydrolocked-rods are still in the block. Once we get the heads to hold on the new motor with the R&R's, we wont keep it at 100 psi, we'll turn it loose. The turbos on here are huge-98 Thumper on the atmosphere unit-the 106mm Thumper is on order-no NOS is on my truck btw....just too bad we didn't get it done in time for TS
Best compliment was "that a Cummins?"
"no"....
"INTL DT466?"....
"no"..."just a lowly old 7.3."
