while were talking oil, a friend of mine bought a used truck and the owner said he always ran 20-50 since new every 5k, and it has 65k or so. he just changed it and used 20-50 but i havent heard of that in diesels is it ok? the truck is from and is in tx. thanks all
5W-30 or 15W-40
This has probably been asked a more times than anyone can count but - I am installing a Amsoil by-pass and they are telling be to use 5W-30 Amsoil HD Diesel oil. I have been using 15w-40 motorcraft until this point and it has worked fine. What is the difference in the two weights? I live in Southern California so weather is fairly nice all year around.
