Hey guys,

Torched is a mechanic company based in Hawaii. We zero in on Fab work, performance and repairs. We are pretty new to these forums and we are a pretty young company as well, but bare with us:

These two tips will help shut your check engine light off if you've altered the egr.

If you pull your egr sensor wire out to delete just the sensor and opperating system, 'you need to buy a tuner'. That is the most common way to turn your light off, in this instance.

If you went a head and did an egr delete (recommended way) and you get a check engine light. Do not leave your egr connector unplugged. 'Plug your egr sensor back in!!!' That will shut 'off' your Check Engine light. Even with a deleted egr, your truck will run normally without the egr actually operating. Plig it in!!!

First off there is no "EGR sensor" its an EGR valve and EGR cooler. And it has been known on here for many years that if you delete it you will need a tuner to turn the MIL light off. Where have you been?

Im just saying because people forget sometimes. When we get their truck and they say "whats going on with my truch, all i did was delete the egr." We're like, have you checked all your connectors? And for the most part people leave it inplugged
