Ok guys, looks like I will be spending a lot of time on the Powerstroke forum. My father in law just went to the dealership and is looking at buying a new or used Powerstroke. I personally don't know much about them. Is the 6.0 as horrible as everyone says it is, and if so what if he gets the 6.4? Isn't Ford going to produce thier own diesel here shortly? So that may not be an option either. Help Please.

03 and 04 are the bad ones..... but most are not bad... Just make sure you look at the records for the truck. Make sure new headgaskets and aftermarket studs were installed....

I like the 7.3's but haven't had all that much go wrong with the 6.0's... 6.4's are stuffed and not good to work on if something goes wrong...
