6.0 Powerstroke Water in Fuel message.

Hey guys, got a 2007 King Ranch 6.0, water in fuel light came on for a week or so finally got my tools at my new residence, drained the separator, closed it up. I let it idle to see if the message goes away, tried giving it some beans in the driveway a few times, killing it and starting again. After about 5 mins of idle 4 separate times now the water in fuel message comes back on in the dash. Am I missing something here? New to diesels.

Did you collect the fuel into a clean clear container where you could see if there was any water?

I had a bad fill up at a station where it took me a week to get all the water out of the fuel.
Nah I just drained it into a bunch of rags. Not all my stuff is here yet so I don't have any containers but there was definitely water in the separator when it came out. Allegedly the filter was done in February. Idk what the replacement cycle looks like or anything like that.
