6.0 trans cooler in a 01 truck

I just purchased a new 6.0 cooler from Ford. I have removed the aftermarket cooler I installed a few years ago. Does any one have any secrets to the install of the new cooler. I know I need to remove the stock 7.3 cooler and the lines for the replacement. Anything else I need to be aware of?

Thanks

By looking at the new cooler I'm sure you noticed that the lines coming from it are 1/2 inch and will need to be reduced to 3/8 inch. When I did mine I loosened the ac condenser and pulled it forward to get more room to manuver the new cooler down into it's slot. Wear something to protect your arms as you do this or it will look like you had an argument wiht a really angry cat. I located all of the hose and the fittings at my local hydraulic supply house. Make sure to get oil rated hose as the trans fluid will deteriorate hose used for water. good luck and enjoy the benifits of that cooler especially when you are towing.
