My 6.0 has a surge at about 2-3k that gets better as it warms up. There are no codes or lights. It will surge in neutral very slightly. You can see a pulse in the tach and boost gauge while driving and in neutral. The truck drives fine other than that. It boosts to about 25 psi. The EGR is clean/new. If I pull the plug on the VGT turbo actuator it runs smooth at all rpms. I am waiting for the Scan Gauge to see what is going on in the computer/engine. I pulled the IPR and it ran the same. Sorry I don't have more. I did change the Map cleaned the map tube.

Do you know what the build date on your truck is? If it is before 08/22/2005 this could be your problem. If you don't know your build date, you can message me your VIN number or post it in this thread and I can find out for you:

Thanks for all the help! VGT actuator fixed the surging and truck runs like new. Also did the Blue Spring, notice quieter cold start and the pedal does not need to be pushed as hard to get it going(better low end pre boost power).
