The 6.2L diesel engine on my 1990 GMC Suburban blew up.
I found a 6.2L engine that came out of a military hummby. According to the seller the hummby was build on 1990.
I am just wondering if any of you may know if this engine will mount in my GMC Suburban without having to move the mounting brackets.

Any information would be appreciated.

I have limited knowledge here, but I think so.

There could be some different turbo configs due to the different noses, but you should be able to take anything off yours to put on that one if it is different.

Thanks for your input.
The engine from the humby is on 24V. So I know that I have to change all the parts from my engine to this one.
I was more concern about the monting brackets. The last thing I want to do is start making frame changes on my Suburban.

I would be 99% sure the frame mounts should be the same. Just transfer everything from the bare long block of the Sub to the bare long block of the Hummer (HMMWV or "Humvee").

My Dad did the same thing with a military 6.5 in his former truck. He bought it with the bad engine and swapped in the military long block. As stated before, the basic engine is the same, but you'll want to use your accessories.
