I'm close to buying a new International truck with what they call the 'MaxxForce 7'. This is really just a 6.4 that is detuned to 200 HP @ 2600 RPM and 560 lbs. of torque @ 1400 RPM.

Does anybody have any experience with this engine?

Have you checked out International's site? Here is the link, you may have already seen this. The 6.4 Powerstroke has the dual stage Turbo, which I assume helps add the extra HP. It looks to me like the Maxxforce7 is the same except for the single EVRT turbo :dunno:

Yes, I saw that. I'm just wondering whether I'm going to be seeing re-gen, and/or oil making issues that seem to be cropping up on this page.

Most definitely on the Regeneration. The Diesel Particulate Filter is a must to meet the EPA requirements. The making oil is a possibility. I think the making oil thing (diesel passing the rings) is happening on engines not fully broken in correctly. I see only a few complaints of this on several forums.
