Why would you not want to pre-fill the oil filter on "this engine" It is then a dry start waiting for pump to get it moving thru an empty filter and continue on. Personally, I would NEVER hang a dry filter, starts are hard enough on an engine, let alone starting with a dry filter.
6.7L oil leaking at oil filter
My 6.7 powerstroke has developed a small leak where the oil filter threads in at. The leak is very small and will run down to the bottom of the filter. Only enough oil to cover the tip of your finger but I just changed the oil and new filter does the same thing. Any suggestions? It's under warranty but If it's an easy seal to replace I would rather do it myself because its my daily.
