6.7L oil leaking at oil filter

My 6.7 powerstroke has developed a small leak where the oil filter threads in at. The leak is very small and will run down to the bottom of the filter. Only enough oil to cover the tip of your finger but I just changed the oil and new filter does the same thing. Any suggestions? It's under warranty but If it's an easy seal to replace I would rather do it myself because its my daily.

Are you sure its not just "extra" from the oil change? I get that almost every oil change, no matter how careful I am, and is caused by either what drained out, or the fact that I prefill my filters, and spill a little around the edge of the filter. It eventually stops. And, I've also noticed more often than not, the old gasket stays on the engine, and could easily be missed, doubling up, and causing a leak.

I've had several gaskets stick to the frame vs staying on the old filter. Double check that it came off with the old filter.

There is no need to pre-fill filters on this engine.
Thats good to know, by can you also give me details of why?
