Ever since I bought my truck (w/ 65k on it) I notice a very slight shudder when launching from a dead stop. I want to say it's clutch related, but I don't know much about clutches/trannys. Does this sound like a pilot bearing problem or something else. What does it take to diagnose it?

hot spots on the flywheel and pressure plate.

It just sounds like your clutch is slipping (the stock clutch slips easily if you release the clutch pedal slowly).

I am having a similar problem, but I believe in my case the shudder is coming from the carrier bearing. It seems the rubber around the carrier has worn out because there is a lot of movement in the drive shaft.
