Hi I was wondering if anybody can help me I have the old 7.3 I DI 93 f350 and when I drive about 3 miles the engine shut off and also it gives me a hard time trying to start it back i even have to get a jump but when but when it’s just sitting in one spot it can idle for hours with no problem also i check my high pressure pump to make sure it was on I just wanna know if anybody know any more information about it also is it natural for the truck to roll Cole all the down street even when at idle

If it is smoking black at idle, you have an injector pump problem. Or your air filter is REALLY dirty. They shouldn't "roll coal" at all unless under a fairly heavy load. My son's truck was smoking more than it should, and when we checked the air filter, it was so bad it was collapsed. It still didn't smoke at idle. Is your truck turbocharged? That might change my answers a little
