I have a 1994 7.3 idi non turbo and I am doing head gaskets. Are Powerstroke and idi head bolts interchangeable? I’m having a difficult time finding idi head bolts with the 12 point bolt heads.

The heads are completely different, so the bolts might be a different length.

I have always used felpro p/n es 72161. You can get them at NAPA o4r Orielly. Remember that in head bolt selection the 7.3m idi has a static compression of 21.5:1 and the 7.3 powerstroke has a static compression of 16:1. Go with the correct bolts and you wont have a problem.
