Just replaced the pcm in my 02 f250. I had a hypertech programmer in the truck but lost it when they changed the brain. I bought this programmer back in 02 when there were few options for tuning diesels. I'm looking for input on which tuner is best out there for the 7.3 stroke.

DP Tuner. Just installed one this weekend, know friends that have them, no complaints. It is sweet.

I gave up on my dp-tuner 60HP tow tune. I had my PCM flashed back to normal and what a let down.

Why did I give up on the 60HP Tow tune in my PCM? Well, can you say F5 from dp-tuner?

DP Tuner here too! I have had several other programmers in the past and went with Jody at www.DPTuner.com and its sweet. I have stock/60HP Tow/80HP Econo/120HP Race.. I drive with in 95% of the time in 80HP Econo mode.. Its fun.. Once in awhile I switch it to 120HP mode to play in when a ricer pulls up next to you. Its fun to watch your 7800 lb Truck "smoke"-em!

I'm wondering the same thing. I had a Superchips Micro Tuner 3 or 4 years ago and was really impressed by it.

Is there anything out there that is significantly better?

Another here for DP Tuner... That 80 econo is the ticket for everyday driving... It's great that if you are on the road and need to pass someone, give it a little gas and it's up to 90 in no time, without having to downshift.... I've had it for 2 months now and still can't wipe the smile off my face. How do people drive the 7.3 without it I don't know.....
I also use the 40tow for my 10K toyhauler. I got the 120 race tune and it is very impressive but I'm too scared that I'm going to trash my tranny so I don't use that tune. Probably wouldn't have bought the 120 tune if I had any idea what the 80 econo did......

im debating whether to go with the dp tuner or the new edge evolution programmer it seems it does more for the price. I like the fact you get all the guages and the programmer all in one. Not sure what i want to go with either
