First things first. I am still new to this site and to diesels in general, and on how to post on this site so if im posting in the wrong spot or whatever let me know need to learn some how..... so with that out of the way.

I found a 93 7.3 idi on craigslist, that is a 6 door truck. I have been wanting one of these for the longest. I currently own a 97 350 cc. The 93's motor is more likely shot, i haven't actually seen it just going off what the guy says about it. I want to get the 93 and basically do a swap with my 97 engine and all the parts needed into the 93. So basically i would use my 97 as my donor truck. is this something that is possible and worth my time. Thanks for all your help

If the 93' truck is in decent shape, I don't see why not.

I am currently doing a cummins swap in an 86' GMC CC dually with my neighbor. If you like the truck, have at it and post some pics! This is the fun stuff
