2015 F350 diesel 6.7 power stroke: 8500 mi
Info display message says speed is limited to 80 mph... I'm in tow mode and would never come near going that fast, especially towing my 5th wheel, just wondering why this message came up. Could it have to do with adding DEF? I just added 2.5 gallons of motocraft DEF...

Low DEF usually limits you to 50MPH. I would think this is because you locked out 6th gear and the RPMs may be too high in 5th past 80MPH?

Check to see if you have My Key selected for the ignition key you are using...I think it can limit the speed and other things

Thanks guys... It was the my key feature that caused the 80mph message. I used my other original key for the first time and it was apparently configured for MyKey operation, though I don't remember programming the key for that purpose. Not having teenagers at home any longer, can anyone tell me why I might have use for this feature?
