I had about 750 miles left, added 2.5 gal, the odo says 800mi. left after only 500 miles. This can't be right since the tank is only 4 gal. Is there a secret to re-setting this thing? I thought I did it right, obviously not. Do you have to fill the tank completely up before re-setting?

I believe that the tank is a 5.5 gallon. Take another shot at filling it... Use the :ford: filler and let it top off per the instructions. I have not let mine get to the 800 mile warning yet so I have not had to reset. I do a System Check and refill when it drops below half full.

yup i do the same as jroaddog and never had to reset it. did t on its own, i think i read u need to top it right off to

You need to be something higher than 1/2 full for the reset. Add another gallon and try again. It does hold 5.5 gallons
