Yeah, we might even have enough attendees to pay the full dinner bill

What about all the supporters of this site? You think they (we,us,me,you,us'ns) might have something to do with the success of this great site? What about FMC? Heck, Jason is just taking advantage of the situation. .....boondocker

Keep in mind some members have registered twice or even three times because of lost passwords or whatever. And also there are plenty of Cummins boys floating around here just for fun.

No, Jason knows we don't have 8,500 active members. We don't really know how many we have.

Jason has been planning a major update to the userID database that would tell us all sorts of stuff - including the number of active members - but it requires a lot of programming work [i.e., manhours] and he simply hasn't found a round toit to finish that little job.

But he knows how many hits we get each day - week - month. And it's a bunch!
[A hit is when someone accesses www.ford-diesel.com or any of the forums or other parts of ford-diesel.com.]

I just want to stick in my 2 cents. I am looking to buy a 97 or 99.5 F-350 CrewCab PSD Dually to pull a 5th wheel, and have found this site to be a tremendously educational forum. I currently own a BMW on which I have made major engine, suspension, brake, tire and wheel enhancements. If I had been able to find an interactive resource like ford-diesel.com, I would have been able to complete my modifications more quickly, more easily and more cost effectively.

This site has allowed me to READ other people's comments and suggestions. I have even, very occasionally, asked a question or posted a comment. Unfortunately, as Jason mentioned, there will always be a small minority who object to anything constructive.

This site should be proud of its increase in membership, no matter what that number is. Additionally, no one should be judged as a member as to how many posts they make. Some people like to comment. Some may like to read others' comments. Others may post only when they need help or advice. As for me, I just hope that this site continues to exist as I enter the world of Ford and PSD ownership.

I applaud anyone who is constructively involved with this site: owner, moderator, those who post questions and those who just log on to read, learn and enjoy.

Jason:

If, when I first joined your board, you had told me there would be 8500 members in a little over a year, I would have laughed at you. Today, I would be eating crow. Great Job! Great Board! Thanks to you and all the moderators, we enjoy the best site on the net. Here's to 10,000.

Mike
