my 86 f250 with the 6.9 wont stay running, i give it a shot of ether and it runs for about 30-60 seconds and the it stalls out. after it stall out i have noticed if i bleed the air out of the fuel filter it will start up again then stall. i have replace the fuel filter, the return lines and connectors, the lift pump. the injection pump was replace about 3 years ago. does anyone have any helpful advice. pearls of wisdom maybe ?

How full are the tanks, if they are @ or below 1/4 then you may be suffering from fuel pickup broken off. Pick one with more than 1/3.
