yes, that's normal, the lower your idle speed the more it flaps. Get the ambulance belt, adding an idler is optional but highly recommended. Or you can do like me and get a shorter belt that only goes between the water pump and the alternator.
Thanks guys. MLSC, can you give me the part number on that belt. I just spent $82.00 on gates belts at O'reilly, ouch. any cheaper places to find belts?
While the belts are off spin the water pump pulley and hold a screw driver next to it and in front of it to observe any wobble, or use a dial indicator.
