I have a 91 Dodge w250 Cummins it's been sitting for 5 years in the garage it hasn't been started, it was babied by a family member and I'm trying to figure out what I need to do before I start it so I don't mess anything up. Can anybody give me guidance with this... the person that owned the truck initially made sure all the fluids and filters and everything like that were always perfect, it has 56000 miles

Hi
1 check for rodent damage chewed wires and for a nest in the air box
2 check the turbo make sure it spins free
3 check the engine oil level
4 check the transmission fluid to verify that it at least has some (auto).
A manual transmission you'll have to go under and check it at the fill plug
5 check the coolant level and the serpentine belt.
I think that will get you headed in the right direction 🙂👍🏻
