okay so far as i know in 92 all the ford diesel are still idi but i have a ATS turbo please look at the pic and tell me if this engine is IDI or if it is DI

Yep. That's an idi with an aftermarket ATS non-wastegated turbo. I've got the same setup - runs good. Ford didn't offer a turbo idi until 93.
