I have replaced the alternator and voltage regulator. It worked shortly then it stopped charging the batteries. From the start of it working properly it seemed like something was off. The battery bolt gauge wouldnt start moving for 5 minutes when the truck was started. It hung below the N of normal. Now it doesn't work at all. I replaced the volt reg again, had both the batteries and alternator tested. All three passed.I even went as far as replacing the plug that goes to the volt regulator. Still won't charge my batteries. When checking with a volt meter off my alternator connections it's reads 11.56 ish when running.any other ideas?

Update. Solved the problem. Voltage regulator was not grounded well enough even though I sanded down the body behind it. I ended up running an independent wire from the volt reg bolt to the chassis ground and it works great now

Connect a ground line on the alt its self, run it to the reg, then to the battery negative!

I did that and it was a vast improvement in voltage regulation!
