I decided to make a stab on this fix since I am missing disk for the oil filter housing. Seem silly to spend lot of money on oil filter housing replacement. And that fact, I don't want to wait for ebay to win the auction and waiting for the shipping since I already have the oil cooler out of the truck. I happened to have everything at home to make one. It would be nice if I already own a lathe to turn the metal rod into a nice disk. :icon_rolleyes:

A man after my own ideas, why spend money when you do not have to. That is a lot better than spending a $150.00 on a new header:thumbsup: for a 10 cent part.

Very nice work !!! I think, when mine is apart already, i will put a couple extra stakes in to make sure mine doesn't fall out. The stakes on my main oil relief let go, but the assembly gets held against the block anyhow.....I'm going to have to try to stake it back in if i can. I had to use some ITW Devcon where the oil cooler bundle o-ring rides though......corrosion pits!!!!. They want $297 CDN for a new header and they cant find any availability on it...thats right from IH ! $150 is a steal even with the exchange rate compared to Canada's price !
