My 95 7.3 has 241xxx on her, and i started having the inability to start the truck warm, after looking at the fuel filter i knew i had bad injector o-rings. so this weekend i opened her up and replaced them. while dissembling it, i noticed that 3/4 of the valve cover harnesses were partially melted for the wires going to some glow plugs, because no local stores had any in stock for replacement i had to re-use them until i could get new ones ordered.
Now the truck does run and it will restart warm, but it has died out on me after driving a few times, sometimes without a restart until 10 mins later. and after it starts, about 8-10 seconds it changes from a smooth idle to very rough and the cel stays on until it is shut off and restarted. i know the valve cover harnesses are bad, but would that be the only thing that will lead to this?
