i have a 1995 powerstroke with 530 hybird injectors and every time i hit 30 psi it will shoot it right back to 10 or so psi and truck loses power i have a release valve on the map sensor and a code elimitor on the ebv valve what else would cause it.

Try using a pressure regulator instead of a blow-off valve. You may have to set the pressure at a lower level than the blow-off valve is set for. Some trucks apparently defuel at high boost levels, some do not, depends on PCM programming and year. Yours may be one that does. Setting a overboost CEL or condition in the PCM generally occurs around 22-24 psi. With the big injectors, your blow-off valve may not be responding fast enough to avoid defueling. Using an adjustable pressure regulator will allow you to set the regulated pressure lower than 22 psi so it will respond fast enough to prevent the MAP sensor (and the PCM) from seeing overshoot pressures above the 22-24 psi range. Should not have to go below much below 18 psi though if at all. just experiment by setting the regulator pressure lower and lower until the fuel cutoff disappears.

You should post performance questions in the 94-97 mods forum for more responses.

For a quick check, remove the release valve on the map sensor. I have the code eliminator at the ebv valve, but do not have one of the release valve/regulators and I can hit 40 PSI without any problems that I can tell.

(uhh unless you call blowing off the intake boots on a regular basis a problem!)

I have a 95', and can hit 37-38# easily, mine wont de-fuel, and the only CEL I set if for ICP pressure.

Hmm.. I wonder if you are defueling, or loosing fuel pressure...

Maybe you can try installing a fuel pressure gauge and see if that is the problem?
