My 2012 F350 has 96,000 miles. All bone stock. Haven't had any issues with exhaust or egr. My powertrane warranty is gonna run out at 100k. I have an after market that's good for another 36kmiles but not sure just how in depth into the motor it covers.

I'm wondering if I should be looking into doing the deletes for the egr and dpf.

I was hoping to leave this truck bone stock after the night mares I had with my previous trucks that I've done performance mods to. But if it will improve and make this truck live longer then I'll do it.

Free dom diesel performance.com sells complete delete kits with tuner full exhaust and egr delete kit for reasonable prices. I'm thinking the exhaust egr delete are pretty much all the same, not sure if a 4 or 5 inch exhaust is better. The kit I was looking at had the h&s mini max for $1490

Not looking for power truck has plenty just want a reliable tuner that has good tune, not the junk like I had with bully dog on my Cummings.

I can't speak from experience as I'm not there yet but I plan to do a full delete as soon as I get close to the 100K mark. Most local diesel mechanics I have spoken to have said don't do it early and void warranty but it will help the engine to last longer.

I just took the choke off of mine this week. Glad I did so far.

Didn't do it for mileage, but I was amazed at the displayed difference ... 25 mile trip home from the shop ... 19 mpg, and I had to go through Stephenville ... town of about 18K.

The best I've ever seen on my rig was 16.

What exhaust, tuner and or ear delete did you use.

@Loxboy1

I used the stock intake and exhaust. My guy blocked the EGR (machine shop) and "routed-out" the DPF, so the shell of the DPF is in place, but all function has been disabled and restriction to exhaust flow removed. So I now have a 3-4' section of culvert exhaust pipe. ;)

H&S Mini Maxx tuner. "container" tunes ... not custom tunes. I've only had it a couple of days, have yet to tow with it, but I'm happy so far.

An anomaly the tech mentioned might happen ... error in the Pyro display. Of course, mine did, so I went back today and he machined another fitting/thermocouple lead for a bully dog transducer which connected to the H&S. Now the screen displays EGT accurately. He said he wasn't sure why, but some of the factory connections will invert the indication (like a DC reverse polarity) with the H&S display. That's what I discovered ... under load, it would indicate 30 (thirty) some odd degrees, no load/engine braking it'd indicate 1800-2000 degrees.

He recommended the FASS fuel system when I'm able (gotta recover from this deal). I probably will ... but it'll be a little while. Gotta sell some cows this spring! :)

Oh ... this was Bosque Flat Diesel in Stephenville. Matt Willis.

Sounds like you got yourself a sleeper truck lol. Funds are the knly thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on my 6.7. The 7.3 has been eating some money latly to keep her going. Since i barly drive the 6.7, and use the 7.3 daily for work it takes first priority.

I would look into the EZ Lynk. H&S has no customer supports anymore since they got shut down, canned tunes are ok and the tranny canned tunes suck. I did race pipe and still haven't done the egr delete yet. I dropped weight at 40K and now am at 57K. If I did it all over again I'd go with the EZ Lynk.

IDK what that means.

I took it on a long drive today and was absolutely impressed. Duallys can make a LOT of smoke!!! (one time "turn-off the traction control" demo, I don't want to be replacing tires every 3 months) Anyhow. displayed 17.1 mpg and I wasn't holding back. Had a long way to go and a short time to get there! ;)

20-30 mph winds, too.

I'm happy.
