I am looking at a 96 7.3 350 long bed standard cab 2 wheel drive not a duelly.It has 92,000 miles (carfax) and the body is is a 8 out of a 10.The carpet is stained beyond repair.Everything works.Front tires wear evenly.I will be the 4th owner.I can get it for $5,000.What do you think and what should i look out for?Ihave never owned a diesel before.Thanks

Here is a link to a member's personal page, Steve Baz. Click on Tips and Tricks, then scroll about 1/3rd way and youll see "Buying a Used PSD". A good starting point. I might add, that if it has or has had a K&N air filter, beware. They are blamed for letting through dirt and debris. You will definately want to pull the intake tubing and inspect the turbo fins for a "dusted" appearance. If it has the orange silicone tubing, be very careful, it will tear easily. Hope this helps.
