First, I am very sorry, be as patient as you can, it’s extremely hard, I’ve been down that road. Lost my Father this past December, He (We / myself as his only family member capable) battled with his Dimensia for several years.
Second, I guess I’m coming to the party late- went back a reviewed your posts. Noticed you got a CEL, are you able to pull any codes?
It’s hard to be patient because he calls me every couple hours asking for an update and I tell him the same thing over and over, I’ve even tried writing it down for him to read and he still does what he wantsi got him his Nissan back Tuesday (had to get the. Catalytic converter changed out) so he’s off my ass for the moment.
He was fine till my mom passes January 2nd 2019, then last February he needed to replace the rotor on his truck I got it for him and but he bugged me everyday that he needed it. Then when I gave it to him his truck sat with the tire off, new rotor on the drivers seat till last month! I tried to put it on for him several times last year and he would get mad and say he’s getting to it. Now it’s to the point if something goes wrong its my fault. 2 weeks ago when all this started, he backed into my fence pulled Forward put it in reverse again and gunnedd. It right over my fence into the ditch when I got into the truck I noticed the brake light on, pop the hood fine the serpentine belt wrapped around the fan and no cap on the brake fluid. THen after replacing the cap and the belt I found the drive belt tensioner cracked in half so that started my journey into the truck. I also found that his brake fluid was spraying out at the caliper maybe just hand tightened! But ask him Someone stole the cap and I loosened the brake line. anyways thank you for the fuel suggestions I’ll keep y’all update, I appreciate all suggestions because like I said definitely NOT a mechanic! just someone who can fix what’s broke if I have to. Maybe to cheap maybe learned a little watching my dad work when I was a child.
Have you been able to verify fuel delivery from your tank(s) to your fuel bowl? Take a look at the below, attached post paying attention to the #4 thread and the description of running the fuel pump inlet to a separate can of diesel fuel. While the truck will be stationary, at least you can see if the engine responds to the throttle and increases the rpm without stumbling. Hope this helps. Glenn
