well now that i've had the 08 v10 for a couple of weeks i can say that i like it. it runs well. haven't towed with it yet. kinda miss my 7.3. the 99 was slightly modded and was much faster than this v10. i do and don't miss the sound of the diesel.the v10 is quiet and that is nice, but i miss the turbo whistle. also, the v10 is a thirsty engine. i don't think i'll regret buying it, just gonna take some getting used to. had my old 99 for 13 years and it was a great truck.:ford:

I think with a few additions you may find that you like your V10 quite a bit more. I have a 2008 V10 and made the following mods and the way the truck tows and performs is much better than stock. MPG's are also up.
1. Airraid air box replacement and filter.
2. Magnaflow muffler.
3. 4x4 air dam (6" deep) to replace the 2" deep 4x2 air dam.
4. SCT X3 tuner with V10 custom tunes by 5 Star Tuning. 87 economy, 87 performance/tow and 91 performance/tow.

i didn't plan on modding this truck, but who knows maybe i will. i know my old 7.3 would dust this v10. thanks for the reply.
