Hi all.

Bought a RWD F250 on the weekend, going to pick it up and drive it home on Weds.

Front passenger side wheel has some play. I'm thinking it could simply be a spindle castle nut that needs to be tightened. Id like to check before driving it home about 100 miles.

Anyone know what the socket size is?

It's your fingers.
The nut on tapered roller bearings is only snugged. You could use slip joint pliers to run it down while wheel is rolling and then back it off and bring it as tight as you can get it with your fingers and then install the lock cage and then the cotter pin.
After you're done there can be some very faint free travel if you rock wheel.
