Needing some advice. Truck was running extremely rough, and had a serious loss of power. From time to time would die out on me. Thinking it was the UV harness, i tore both side apart and replaced them. Although the 2 there were there looked good. I replaced the CPS thinking it might have went bad. Even added diesel thinking maybe my gauge is off and i ran out.
The truck wont start at all it just turns over. I tested the injections and they all tested good. The glow plug harness tested good as it had 12 or 11 volts going in and coming out. OHM tested the GPs the driver all tested at 00.9 ohms. The passenger side was different. Front of the engine to the back #1 49.3 ohms #3 49.5 ohms. #5 wouldnt even register and #7 was 00.9.
Am i on the right track thinking I need to replace passenger side bank of glow plugs?

Unless it's winter where you are, it should still start with a bad set of GP's. YOu need to provide more info...year, model, any engine mods, any engine codes you have read, and if you have not read any codes, you need to do that.

The glow plugs (all of them) likely need to be replaced. Use genuine Motorcraft or International GP's (made by Beru). But that won't affect your rough running issue, as GP's are only used for starting.

You should get it scanned with a PowerStroke capable scan tool to see what codes it may have, then go from there. It could be a number of things. Does the check engine light come on when it's running rough?

No the check engine light has never come on. I know it works cause it lights up when i go to start the truck but with it running, it has never come on.

Was it running rough pretty consistently, or just under certain go-pedal conditions (acceleration or deceleration)?

You might check the wiring connector plug to the ICP sensor to see if there's oil in there. If so, your ICP sensor is bad. You might try starting with the ICP sensor unplugged. That will cause a CEL, but the engine should run with the PCM using parameters other than HP oil pressure.

1 day it started up really rough, and had a hard time gaining power and just sounded all around horrible. After 5 or so minutes of going down the road it smoothed out like nothing ever happened. Lunch time came around, truck fired up and ran fine. End of the day came truck started rough and ran rough the whole way home. Next day same thing really rough, no power. On the way home that day, was headed up a small hill and the truck died out, its a manual 4 speed plus overdrive. Coasted back down the hill and found a parking spot, and parked it. Now, all i can get the truck to do is turn over.

I went through the same routine. Then I saw something on ebay that I thought might not be related but cheap enough to try . It said injector tune up shim kit. I ordered it and went through the process. The spacing measured was less than they said it should be so I used their procedure to put their shims in. That was about 7 months ago. It has not quit going down the road since then and it actually started in the winter without being plugged in (which it would not before). I still have my fingers crossed that it continues. Mine is a 2003 F350 with the 7.3.

Yes, the shim kit will extend the life of injectors. Usually the symptom is hard starts when cold, even with good glow plugs.
