I have 3 leafs in the front and 6 leafs in the rear for each wheel, can I assume that leafs have been added?? Is it hard to remove the added ones to soften the ride?? cant find any trucks around here to compare with or find any pics on the web. Any help and/or pics would be appreciated. I also noticed that I have no steering stabilizer. I really don't wanna spend the big buck for the wazoo after market dual shock ones.any thoughts on where to find an OEM bracket that goes on to the tie-rod?? thanx,, Ted

Sounds like you have aftermarket springs on it.

My truck (stock suspension) has 2 leaves in the front and 5 in the back (which includes the overload on top that doesn't do anything till it contacts the pads, and the shorter lower leaf that really does't factor in till it's loaded a bit.)

You could go back to stock spring packs (wrecking yard? or dealer) if you want a softer ride.

The steering stabilizer bracket should be available from the same places, and you don't have to put the double whammy stabilizer on it.
